Pigeons fly as Paramilitary troops patrol on deserted street during the Fourth day of curfew in Srinagar on Tuesday 12, February 2012. A curfew which was imposed in Kashmir continued on 12 February after parliament attack convict, Muhammad Afzal Guru was executed in New Delhi's Tihar jail on 09 February.

Authorities on Tuesday relaxed curfew for three hours in five police station areas here, which largely remained unaffected from the protests against the hanging of Parliament attack convict Mohammed Afzal Guru.

“Curfew has been relaxed in the areas under the jurisdiction of Ram Munshi Bagh, Rajbagh, Kothibagh, Shergarhi and Saddar police stations from 4 p.m.,” a police spokesman said.

The situation during the relaxed hours will be reviewed before taking a decision on providing similar relief in other areas of the Valley, he said.
