Sena leaders fly to Delhi

The Sena has deputed party MP Anil Desai and senior leader Subhash Desai for talks.

After the BJP played hardball with its estranged ally, the Shiv Sena, and opened the door to Independents, the Sena rushed two emissaries to Delhi on Tuesday night.

The Sena has deputed party MP Anil Desai and senior leader Subhash Desai for talks. BJP sources say Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray could also make a trip to Delhi.

The process of government formation in Maharashtra, however, will be in pause mode till after Diwali. Earlier, the BJP claimed the support of several Independents and small parties, and said its number rose to 138 MLAs.
