Injured Hizb militant arrested in Anantnag gunfight

One injured militant was arrested during an encounter in south Kashmir’s Anantnag on Thursday morning.

A police spokesman said an encounter started between terrorists and the security forces at Gund Baba Khaleel, Anantnag, on Thursday morning, in which a local militant was trapped.

“One local Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Zaheer Abbas Lone, a resident of Pulwama, was later arrested in injured condition and shifted to hospital,” the police said.

The condition of the militant is stated to be “critical”.
