Times of India to take on Antares

Times of India will play Antares in the final of the Adclub- Sportstar T20 cricket tournament organised by the Seven Star Cricket Association.

The scores: Semifinals:Times of India 143 for seven in 20 overs (Kannan 39, Rizwan 27, Karthikeyan 25, Suresh three for 22) bt Red 78 in 15.5 overs (Iyyappan three for 12).

Antares 183 for nine in 20 overs (Senthil 67, Venkat 33, Vivek three for 34) bt Sakshi-Jagathi 69 in 13.2 overs (Venkat three for 8, Bala three for 26).

Quarterfinals: United India Insurance 110 in 19.4 overs (Kalyanaraman 27, Karthik three for 19) lost to
Times of India 111 for nine in 19.3 overs (Krishnan three for 29).

Sakshi-Jagathi 131 in 18 overs (Arvind 52, Karthik four for 36) bt Group M Media 82 for four in 18 overs (Vivek 28).

T. Nagar SC wins

Sundaresan (66) starred for T. Nagar Social Club in its five-wicket win over Indira Nagar Club in the final of the Singaram Trophy recently.

Hat-trick by Gideon

John Gideon (five for 13) took a hat-trick as St. John's International Residential School defeated Pon Vidyasharam by 127 runs in the semifinal of the Team Spirit T20 (under-16) cricket tournament.

The scores: Semifinal: St. John's International 207 or five in 20 overs (D. Sudan 51, S. Vivek 31, Riyas Mohd. 31) bt Pon Vidyasharam 80 in 12.2 overs (John Gideon five for 13, Shivam Kislay three for 15).

Veera bats well

B. Veera Jayachandran (68) helped Nellai Nadar defeat PSBB (KK Nagar) by five wickets in the TSN T20 tourna
