Mohammed of St. Peter’s CC named ‘cricketer of the year’

M. Mohammed of St. Peter’s CC, and the Tamil Nadu Ranji squad, was given the TNCA-DDCA league’s ‘cricketer of the year’ award for the 2013-14 season at the PSNACET here on Sunday.

S. Badrinath, former India cricketer, was the chief guest, and he gave away the awards to the winners.

Special awards : I Div: Best batsman : A. Edwin Arasan (Vignesh Sports Junior); Best bowler : I. Dominic Samson (Samurai); Best all-rounder : T. Saravana Kumar (Vignesh Sports Junior).

II Div: Best batsman : P. Sampath (Godson CC);

Best bowler : M. Karuppusamy (GRU);

Best all-rounder : P. Sundar (Godson CC).

III Div:Best batsman : R. Karthikeyan (NPR CC); Best bowler : S. Selvakumar (NPR CC); Best all-rounder : M. Thanga Paramasivam (Jahir Promising XI).

Inter-college league : Best batsman : M. Kirupakaran (NPRCET); Best bowler : K. Xavier Raja (NPRCET); Best all-rounder : T. Saravana Kumar (RVS School of Engineering).

Inter-school league: Best batsman : N. Sushil Kumar (SMBM MHSS); Best bowler : V.P. Mohana Prasath (SMBM MHSS); Best all-rounder : K. Aashiq (SMBM MHSS).
