Maharashtra lad Bawne to lead India colts in Quadrangular Meet

Maharashtra right-hand batsman Ankit Bawne will lead the India U-19 side in the upcoming four-nation Quadrangular tournament which will also feature the U-19 sides from Australia, Sri Lanka and West Indies.

Jharkhand batsman Kumar Deobrat will be Bawne’s deputy.

The team also comprises of names like Delhi opener Unmukt Chand, Mumbai left-arm spinner Harmeet Singh who have already made a name for themselves in the Ranji circuit.

The team also includes Akhil Herwadkar of Mumbai and Manan Vohra of Punjab who have scored a lot of runs in junior circuit.

Another prominent name from first-class circuit is lanky left-arm spinner from Delhi Vikas Mishra. The bowling will depend a lot Punjab seamer Sandeep Sharma who was a part of India colts team that played in the World Cup in New Zealand.

Sandeep will be supported by two left-arm medium fast bowlers in Gujarat’s Rush Kalaria and Maharashtra’s Mophsin Sayyed.
