Tendulkar felicitated

Cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar was felicitated by the Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) in the morning at the Motera Stadium on Monday.

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, who is also the president of GCA, congratulated Tendulkar for completing 20 years in international cricket.

Meanwhile, the BCCI has released opening batsman Murali Vijay and left-arm spinner Pragyan Ojha from the Indian squad to enable them take part in the upcoming Ranji Trophy matches.

A press release from the Board said, “As per the policy of the Board, Murali Vijay and Pragyan Ojha have been released from the Indian Test squad, to assist their respective sides in the Ranji Trophy.

M. Vijay will play in Tamil Nadu’s match against Punjab, which begins at Amritsar tomorrow, and Ojha will figure in Hyderabad’s encounter against Gujarat, which commences in Hyderabad on Tuesday.”
