The Lyca Group which owns the Coimbatore franchise in the Tamil Nadu Premier League cricket recently launched the team logo for its side Lyca Kovai Kings.
The logo was launched by Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar and eminent film director Shankar. The logo is a regal shield coat-of-arms style depiction of the team name with twin lions on either side.
It reflects the British origin of the Lyca Group, an international corporate giant.

The name Kovai Kings was selected to evoke the rich royal history of the western belt and the five stars represent the quality that the Lyca group brings to both the entertainment and sports industries.
The team’s support staff includes Lance Klusener as chief coach.
Former TN batsman C. Hemant Kumar will be the coach and R. Prasanna, the assistant coach.
