Facebook launches Camera.

Apple has launched a ‘free app of the week' section on iTunes for its iPad and iPhone users, starting this week. The first app to get featured on the section is the addictive arcade game ‘Cut the Rope HD' from Zepto Labs. The objective of the game is to feed candies to the cute little monster Om Nom using ropes, rockets and other utilities in a challenging puzzle setup.

Apple's iTunes currently enjoys a considerable lead over competition, including the likes of Google Android, when it comes to the number of listed Apps. But Google has substantially improved its Apps marketplace environment with the introduction of Google Play. Looks like a win-win scenario for consumers for sure.

It allows users to create their own comic books from a set of templates, characters and backgrounds. It is an effective tool for both adults and children to create engaging visual content.

Facebook launches Camera

Ever since Facebook acquired Instagram in a $1 billion deal, there has been a lot of speculation about how it would integrate the hugely popular photo-sharing network. Last week, the social network that claims to have over 900 million active users worldwide every month announced its camera App for mobile phones that allows users to share and use photos a lot easier than before. Several technology blogs and fora called it an Instagram clone, as its interface and set of editing tools appeared similar to the one seen on Instagram, which incidentally was originally restricted to Apple's iPhone platform and only recently moved to the Android platform. A record number of users had downloaded Instagram on Android on the first day of its appearance in Android marketplace (now Google Play). It remains to be seen now if both networks will co-exist or whether at some stage Facebook will integrate both under its brand.
