It was appalling to read that the wife of a Lok Sabha MP was arrested for allegedly beating a domestic help to death and attempting to kill another minor help (

>Nov. 6 ). It is a shame that the so-called “high society” people indulge in such cruelty.

All of us forget that it is virtually impossible for most of us to manage our households without domestic help. It is of utmost importance that we treat them with respect and dignity.
