It is disappointing that the media have overlooked the role of the Golden Temple in extending relief assistance to those displaced in Jammu and Kashmir. The Akal Takht, the supreme religious body of the Sikhs, is sending meals to one lakh people every day, also bearing the additional transportation expenses. In a country with diverse communities and where communal rifts are highlighted every other day in newspapers, such instances of communal harmony deserve special mention.
