It is well known that Pakistan is the epicentre of terror. The David Headley disclosures indicate the outrageous ways in which the state of Pakistan uses terror as a policy against India. Today, Pakistan has itself become a victim of the terror it encouraged over the years. India cannot hope for that country to extricate itself. New Delhi can do only the next best thing — be ever vigilant as the United States is playing a dubious double game.

It is pathetic to see the mighty U.S. at the mercy of a renegade, bankrupt state like Pakistan. Washington badly needs Islamabad's help to disengage from Afghanistan without losing face. The Pakistan army knows this and is adroitly manipulating the U.S.

It is clear from David Coleman Headley's testimony in a court in Chicago that Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) was actively involved in the Mumbai terror attack. The ISI is the official wing of the Pakistan government. What more proof is needed to declare it a rogue state? It is a fact that terrorism would not have played such havoc with the international community had there been no Pakistan.
It is another matter that Pakistan itself is now at the receiving end of the terror it nurtured.
