The resolution passed by Pakistan’s National Assembly condemning the hanging of Afzal Guru and demanding the return of his body to his family is indeed a great setback to the peace process between Islamabad and New Delhi. Pakistan’s demand that the body of Afzal, main accused in the Parliament attack case, be returned to his family is uncalled for. It is unfortunate that a country should condemn its neighbour’s treatment of a terrorist.
