It is frightening to read the usage of the term ‘nihilist agenda’ in the article “Journalist or citizen” (Nov.26). ‘Nihilism’ is a neutral philosophical doctrine whose origin dates back to 485 BC. Nihilism has many sub-forms and is associated with Friedrich Nietzsche, a German philosophical thinker of the nineteenth century. To associate it any way, however milder it may be, with terrorism, is in itself a grave journalistic error.
