Governor’s warning

 

The warning issued by the office of the Governor of Tamil Nadu of legal action being initiated against any attempt to lay siege to Raj Bhavan in the context of political opposition to the Governor’s visits to various districts in the State is nothing but blatant intimidation. As a constitutional functionary, the Governor has to respect the boundaries laid down by the Constitution. Arguments advanced by the political class cannot be brushed aside as unwarranted (“Raj Bhavan warns against laying siege to its campus”, June 25).
