A.G. Noorani’s excellently argued article “Publish the 1962 war report now” (July 2) establishes that there are no legitimate reasons for not declassifying the Henderson Brooks-Bhagat Report on India’s political-military humiliation of 1962 by China.
One can only hope that the government will overcome the trivial arguments of the DGMO, and the report will be declassified soon so that India’s political and military establishment can learn from the mistakes before the 50th anniversary of our humiliation.
