The advertisement ratio prescribed by the government in respect of large newspapers, as mentioned in the report headlined, “Newspapers only ‘on paper’ make a killing from govt. ads” (May 28) — at 30 per cent — is incorrect to the extent that the total of allocation for large/medium/small newspapers as indicated there does not add up to 100 per cent. The allocation for large newspapers provided for in the government’s Advertisement Policy is currently 50 per cent, and not 30 per cent as mentioned.
