Former J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s remark, that “India had been dishonest with the people of the State in fulfilling the conditions of accession in 1947”, is both irresponsible and inflammatory. Has he forgotten that his father and grandfather were also Chief Ministers of the State and could have turned things round for the State? Being a member of one of the most influential and politically prominent families of Jammu and Kashmir for generations, he needs to be honest and look at his track record as well.
