This refers to the incisive analysis of the divisive role the Bharatiya Janata Party, in cahoots with the RSS and the VHP, played in exploiting a virtual non-event for improving its political fortunes (“‘Non-event’ to orchestrated movement,” Nov. 26).
The party is to blame for making a peaceful country a fertile ground for fundamentalism and a sitting duck for terrorist attacks.

The entire nation — and the world — now knows who demolished the Babri Masjid, throwing the nation into the fire of communalism. Why are the leaders who have been exposed making so much noise over the leakage of the Liberhan Commission report to the media? They should actually be ashamed. Although the whole nation knew who was responsible for what happened on December 6, 1992, it took the government close to 17 years to expose them. We now have to wait and watch how it proposes to deal with them.

I do not really understand the need for a report on the Babri Masjid demolition. The truth is known to the whole world. The first and the last step that is to be taken is to conduct an unbiased trial of the accused.
