>>The headline, “Survivors protest on 19th anniversary of Bhopal gas tragedy” (Dec. 3, 2013, early editions), was incorrect. The text also described it as a protest by the survivors to mark the 19th anniversary of the tragedy. Actually, it is the 29th anniversary. The errors were corrected in the City edition pages.

>>The report, “BSF will need 41 battalions to guard border along Myanmar” (Dec. 3, 2013, some editions), gave the length of the Indo-Myanmar border as nearly 16,000 km. It should have been 1,600 km.

>>A sentence in “The prince returns as emperor” (Dec. 2, 2013, some editions) read: “The Indian Minister accompanying the Emperor is Salman Khurshid, who had seen the Emperor as a seven-year-old Akihito, a Prince then, on a visit to Bodh Gaya, …” It should have read: “The Indian Minister … Salman Khurshid, who as a seven year old, had seen Emperor Akihito, a Prince then, on a visit to Bodh Gaya, …”

>>The opening sentence of “Iran and West Asian tensions” (Dec. 2, 2013, Editorial) read: “The November 24 deal reached in Geneva by Iran and what has come to be called the G6 may have settled one question …” It should have been P5+1 group of nations - the U.S., the U.K., Russia, China, France and Germany plus Iran. G6 was an unofficial forum which brought together the heads of the richest industrialised countries: France, West Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States.
