CJI sexual harassment issue: Supreme Court resolves to unearth ‘larger conspiracy’ against CJI Ranjan Gogoi

A  Special Bench  led by Justice Arun Mishra entertained affidavits and evidence in sealed covers handed over to it by a young lawyer, Utsav Singh Bains, claiming he was enticed with money to frame the CJI in a false case. Mr. Bains, who was present in court, said he had crucial evidence to show that a lobby was at work to bring disrepute to the Chief Justice and the judiciary.

Over 250 women lawyers and academics appeal to SC for fair probe on CJI sexual harassment case

In a letter addressed to the Judges of the Supreme Court of India dated April 24, 2019, over 250 women lawyers and academics made an appeal to the apex court for a fair probe on the allegations of sexual harassment raised by a former employee against Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi.
