A woman in Bihar Wednesday turned to mobile messenger service WhatsApp to lodge a complaint against a police officer for an alleged molestation bid and to send his picture. The police officer was later suspended.

Patna Senior Superintendent of Police Jitendra Rana said he suspended the police officer after the woman used WhatsApp to register a complaint.

“It is the first case of this nature in Patna when a woman used WhatsApp to lodge a complaint related to molestation,” Rana said.
