U.P. should be bifurcated: Jairam

Uttar Pradesh should be bifurcated into smaller States, Union Minister for Rural Development Jairam Ramesh said here on Tuesday.

“Uttar Pradesh has become too large to be administered by a single government. I feel that it should be reorganised into three or four States,” he said to a question whether the creation of Telangana would lead to demand for smaller States.
