“The girl had known Rahul for many years and both had gone to Kerala on a holiday. She alleged that he had promised to marry her and live in Delhi. After staying in Kerala for many days, the two reached Delhi on Friday evening. Haroon received them at the railway station and brought them to his house in Mahipalpur,” said a police officer.

The same night the two raped the girl and dumped her in an unconscious state in Mahipalpur.

On Saturday, a police control room van spotted her when she regained her consciousness. Not being familiar with anyone in the city and due to language problem she had difficulty in explaining the sequence of events, said the police. However, looking at her condition, the policemen realised there was a problem. She narrated the incident to a female police officer and a case was registered.
