With a detailed and elaborate plan in place, the Uttar Pradesh Government is taking no chances to ensure tight security for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Mathura on May 25. Mr. Modi will address a public meeting at Nagla Chandrabhan, the parental village of Bharatiya Janata Party ideologue, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, in Mathura district to mark the NDA Government’s one year in office.
According to the Prime Minister’s programme available with the State authorities, Mr. Modi will arrive in Nagla Chandrabhan, also known as Deen Dayal Dham, at 3-45 p.m. on May 25. “The Prime Minister is scheduled to return to Delhi at 6 p.m.,” the IG (Law and Order), A. Satish Ganesh said.
Eight companies of Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC), five companies of Rapid Action Force (RAF) would be deployed for the Prime Minister’s visit, in addition to seven SP rank officers, two additional SPs and 19 Deputy SPs. About 100 civil police constables, 35 traffic constables and 12 inspectors and sub-inspectors will be stationed in Mathura and Nagla Chandrabhan village. One PAC company for flood relief would be deployed for river patrolling along the Yamuna which flows through Mathura.

The IG ( aw and Order) told journalists that the Government Railway Police (GRP) has demanded one company of the PAC for maintaining vigil on the railway line.
