January 06, 2012 02:38 am | Updated July 25, 2016 07:05 pm IST - MUMBAI:

Agreeing to the demand for providing security to the Indu Mills compound at Dadar, the Maharashtra government on Wednesday told the Bombay High Court that it would ensure that forcible occupation of the premises did not recur.

On Wednesday, the court asked the State to file a statement if it would ensure that the mill compound would be protected so that it could not be encroached upon in future.

On December 6, activists forced their way into the mill compound demanding that a memorial for Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar be built there.
