The Supreme Court on Wednesday ordered that a committee be constituted for the assessment of loss and damage of life and property during the floods in Jammu and Kashmir.
A Bench of Chief Justice R.M. Lodha and Justices Kurian Joseph and Rohinton Nariman passed this order on writ petitions filed by the Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party and others seeking court intervention to ensure the safety and rehabilitation of the stranded people in the State.
