School’s record result for 32nd year

For the 32nd consecutive year, Red Cross School for the Blind of Berhampur secured cent per cent pass result in Class X board exam.

This year, 11 visually-impaired students of this school had appeared for the Class X board examination. According to school principal Nabin Chandra Satpathy, seven of these students passed with B1 grade while four got B2 grade. This school has been felicitated by the Chief Minister in the past for its continuing excellence in education. The school was inaugurated in 1974 by former President V. V. Giri. It had started with just four students but now has around 150 students. Its first batch of students had appeared for Class X board examination in 1983 and since then this school is achieving cent per cent pass result.
