Rahul to visit Ambedkar’s birthplace

) Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi, who has been aggressively raising the cause of farmers, will visit the birthplace of Dalit icon BR Ambedkar at Mhow in Madhya Pradesh on June 2.

Congress is leaving no stone unturned to make his visit a success in a bid to reach out to the Dalit constituency a year before the 125th birth anniversary of Ambedkar in 2016, a senior party leader said on Sunday.

The party has formed a panel headed by one of its general secretaries Digvijay Singh who is arriving in Indore on Monday to oversee the preparations for Rahul’s visit, he said. - PTI
