Over 30 injured in Bhandara torch rally

Over 30 people suffered burns when some torches accidentally fell on some of the participants in Bhandara at a rally on Sunday evening. The rally was organized to protest the rape and murder of three sisters near Murmadi village in Lakhani tehsil of the district. The incident happened at around 8.30 pm.

Bhandara Zila Parishad member Geeta Kapgate and Sayali Dhok are reported to be seriously injured in the incident and have been moved to a hospital in Nagpur.

Constant protest rallies are going in Bhandara, since the bodies of three sisters were found in a well near Murmadi village on February 16.
