The Delhi High Court on Tuesday reserved order on the anticipatory bail petition of the former Haryana Minister and prime accused in the Geetika suicide case, Gopal Goyal Kanda, on conclusion of arguments by his counsel and Additional Solicitor-General Siddharth Luthra for the Delhi Police.

During the marathon arguments, counsel for Mr. Kanda, K.T.S. Tulsi, submitted before Justice P.K. Bhasin that there was no direct evidence either in the FIR or in the suicide note against his client for allegedly subjecting Geetika to harassment and abetting her to take her life, while Mr. Luthra countered his contention saying that there was enough evidence in the two documents which pointed to harassment and provocation. Mr. Tulsi submitted that neither in the suicide note nor in the FIR were there ingredients which revealed the charges of abetment and harassment against Mr. Kanda. He said that the victim was hypersensitive, impulsive and not a woman of a sound mind. She had not written the suicide note in a cool condition.
