Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati on Friday urged Muslims, Dalits and Other Backward Classes to unite and vote for her party’s candidates in the Agra region to prevent Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Narendra Modi from becoming the Prime Minister.
“If the BJP comes to power at the Centre it will once again try to review the Constitution to end reservation for you by forming a commission, just like it unsuccessfully tried when it was in power last time,” Ms. Mayawati said at a rally in Agra, adding that the BSP had then aborted the BJP plan by raising a hue and cry.
