Omar discusses Amarnath arrangements with J&K Governor

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today discussed with Governor N N Vohra “important issues” including arrangements for the ensuing Amarnath yatra, an official spokesman said.

“Mr. Omar called on the Governor at Raj Bhavan and they had wide ranging discussions on various important issues concerning the state,” the spokesman told PTI after a 90-minute long meeting.

He said the issues discussed by them includes arrangements for the Amarnath yatra, scheduled to begin on June 29, measures for further speeding up socio-economic development programmes, time-frame of various activities consequent to the conclusion of Panchayat polls, fiscal management and annual plan implementation besides security issues.
