Two days after four low-intensity blasts caught the city unawares, investigating agencies are still in the dark about the perpetrators of the crime. While a probe is on to “look into every angle,” according to the police, the newly appointed Union Home Minister, Sushilkumar Shinde, is set to visit Pune on Saturday.
A joint team of the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) and the Pune Police have made no arrests yet, the forensic report is not ready and the police are still in the process of preparing the sketches of the suspects.
While the only clues emerging from the probe point to the persons who allegedly bought bicycles used in the blast, Additional Commissioner of Pune Shahaji Solunke told reporters on Friday that the lone injured Dayanand Patil is not a suspect. His wife Satyakala who was questioned by the police was released on Friday, he said.
