Union Minister of State for Science and Technology Jitendra Singh, who was described in his biodata read out at the function earlier by hosts as “an author of nearly 3000 Kashmir-related articles in leading newspapers,” parried questions later at his press conference on “repeal of the Article 370 of the Constitution as regards Jammu & Kashmir.”
Mr. Singh declined to comment on the issue stating that he would not like to answer any questions beyond the topic of Science and Technology and the NIO ship.
When this reporter reminded him that he had earlier said that the process for a dialogue would be started, he declined to comment, pleading with a smile that he would not like to upset the hosts by using their press conference for topics unrelated to their issues.
