An NDFB(S) militant was apprehended by a joint team of Army and Police on Tuesday from Mainaguri village under Kachugaon police station in Kokrajhar district, Defence officials said.
A pistol along with two live rounds was recovered from the possession of the NDFB (Songbijit) insurgent, identified as Bipul Mushahary alias Bigrai Mushahary.
The cadre was allegedly involved in cases of extortion, arms peddling, providing information about movement of security forces and giving logistic support to banned outfits, the officials added. - PTI
