Nadda to inaugurate two facilities at PGIMER

Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda will inaugurate two new patient care facilities at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research here on January 24.

Mr. Nadda, who is also the president of the institute, will inaugurate Robotic Assisted Surgical Facility and Image Guided Radiation Therapy Facility at the centre, the hospital spokesperson said here on Thursday.

Robotic Assisted Surgery Facility in the Department of Urology is the only such facility North of Delhi, the spokesman added.

The Robotic Assisted Surgery offers the benefit of enhanced precision and meticulousness of tissue dissection and suturing with the help of three dimensional vision of the operative field with 10 times magnification. - PTI
