My speech on poll expenditure just "rhetoric," says Munde

BJP leader Gopinath Munde is said to have told the Election Commission that his June 27 alleged speech made in Mumbai on “Rs. 8 crore election expenditure” was only rhetoric and nothing more. In a reply sent to the EC’s notice through his counsel, Mr. Munde denied having said that he spent Rs. 8 crore in his election, much more than the prescribed limit, and said the remarks were made with reference to expenses incurred by his party in Maharashtra in all the Parliamentary constituencies during polls.
