The former Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Mukul Sangma, has finally vacated the CM’s Goodwood bungalow, six months after demitting office, an official said on Monday.
“The Leader of the Opposition (Mukul Sangma) has vacated the Goodwood bungalow last week. He has shifted to Sherwood bungalow, the official residence of the Leader of the Opposition,” a senior General Administrative Department (GAD) officer said.
Mr. Mukul’s younger brother Zenith Sangma, who too had been overstaying in his official residence, had vacated the premises on September 1, the GAD officer said.
