After six days of the ban on publication in Manipur, newspapers will resume from Thursday. Editors of newspapers and publications said though they had not heard from the militant outfit that enforced the ban, they would go ahead with publication.

However they declined to comment on the issue of the press release from the outfit not being published which had sparked the threats and the ban. They said the issue would be discussed later in an emergency meeting of the Editors' Committee.

The newspapers had ceased publication following death threats to journalists and hawkers by an underground organisation whose press releases were ignored.
