IAF’s UAV crashes in Jaipur

An Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) of the Indian Air Force crashed here on Friday after developing a snag in the engine. A court of enquiry has been ordered.

The UAV-HERON, which took off from Jaisalmer Airbase, crashed on barren land in Akoda village, 30 km north-west of Barmer in Rajasthan around 2 pm.

The UAV immediately developed a snag in starting of the engine and crashed after falling from height. It was carrying equipment and cameras.
