Honeypreet’s police custody extended

A Panchkula court extended by three days the police remand of Honeypreet Insan, the adopted daughter of Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh.

Honeypreet, accused of inciting violence that left 41 dead after Ram Rahim was convicted on two counts of rape on August 25, was produced in the court after her six days in police custody. The court also extend for three days the remanded of Sukhdeep Kaur, who was arrested along with Honeypreet.

Honeypreet has been charged under various Sections of the IPC.

The allegations levelled against her are in connection with violence by Dera Sacha Sauda followers after Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh was convicted in the rape cases by the special CBI court on August 25.
