A bartender at a five- star bar on Monday identified Salman Khan during the trial in the 2002 hit-and-run case involving the actor. The bartender said he had served drinks to the group that accompanied the actor on the night preceding the accident.
Thirty-two-year-old Molay Baugh said that the actor was a regular visitor to the bar, but could not say if he consumed liquor that night. Salman walked into the bar along with his friends around 11 p.m. He said they left around 1.10 a.m.
During cross-examination, he said he did not see who among the group had had liquor as the lights were dim.

The sixth witness of the prosecution, 38-year-old policeman Laxman More, was the body guard of Salman’s brother Sohail Khan. He said he was on duty on the night of the accident. The actor and his brother, accompanied by another friend, had gone to ‘Rain Bar,’ from where Sohail Khan and another friend returned after midnight. He said someone informed him the accident around 3 a.m., after which he rushed to the spot. Salman Khan was not at the spot then.
Salman Khan was present in the courtroom during the trial which is to continue on Tuesday.
