Growth-oriented Budget will take care of all sections, he says

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has hailed the Union Budget 2015-16 presented by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley as a “growth-oriented” one that will take care of all sections of the society.

Haryana, he said, would gain directly from the Budget as it had announced setting up of an Apprenticeship Training Institute for Women in the State for imparting practical and employable training. He also thanked the Union Finance Minister for constituting a high-level committee for finalising details for establishing a Horticultural University on which the Haryana government has already prepared a detailed project report.

Mr. Khattar said Haryana would also gain as 4 crore new houses would be built in villages across the country by 2020. He also welcomed the launch of National Skills Mission through the Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Ministry. “The Mission will consolidate skill initiatives spread across several ministries and allow us to standardise procedures and outcomes across our 31 Sector Skill Councils,” the Chief Minister said.

Leader of the Haryana Congress Legislature Party Kiran Choudhry has, however, described the Union Budget as one “for corporate and industrialists which totally ignores the common man, his interests and aspirations. It is a pro-rich and anti-poor Budget.”
