Goa to punish those drinking in public

Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar has said that by next month, drinking in public places would be a cognisable offence in Goa.

“The plan will come into force by February. After that, anyone seen drinking in public places will be fined. After drinking, people should at least take the bottles back with them. These people who drink in public and litter have to be disciplined,” he said at a function on Thursday evening.
