Goa to make helmet a must on all roads

The Goa government has decided to make helmet compulsory for two-wheeler riders and those riding pillion on all roads in the State from April. Director of Transport Arun Desai announced this here on Friday.

He said that there was a rise in deaths due to head injuries in accidents involving two-wheelers on roads across the State in 2014. Presently, wearing of helmet is compulsory only on highways in the State.
