Fresh snowfall in Himachal

The higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh, including the elevated Rohtang Pass, received a fresh spell of snow on Sunday.

Road clearing operations on the Manali-Leh stretch were hampered again due to inclement weather.

This road has not been opened for traffic for the past few months due to frequent spells of snow.

The Border Roads Organisation, which is undertaking the road clearing work, had fixed a deadline of April 15 to clear the Pass, which will now be postponed.
