Four killed, 30 injured as bus overturns near Gaya

Four people were killed and 30 others injured when a bus overturned and fell into a roadside ditch on a national highway in Bihar’s Gaya district on Monday.

The driver of the bus lost control over the vehicle following which it rammed into the railing of a pool and overturned into a roadside ditch on National Highway 2, police said.

All the 30 injured have been admitted to nearby Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College and Hospital (ANMMCH). The condition of 20 of the injured was stated to be serious.

The bus carrying near 50 pilgrims was on its way to Purulia district of West Bengal from Varanasi when the incident took place.
