The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Director General (DG) Pranay Sahay visited Naxal-affected Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra on Friday.

Mr Sahay visited Pendhri outpost, around 40 kilometres from Gadchiroli, where a company of CRPF is based with some district police jawans.

The Director General’s visit to Gadchiroli was kept secret this time by the authorities keeping in mind the experience of the then CRPF chief K. Vijay Kumar’s visit to Gadchiroli in March this year.

According to reliable sources, Mr Sahay revived the operational preparedness of the paramilitary force in a meeting inside the Pendhri outpost.

Almost all the CRPF officials posted in Gadchiroli and senior State police officials attended the meeting, according to these sources.
