The bus service was suspended two weeks ago due to heavy snowfall which had rendered the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad road slippery.

The cross-LoC bus service was started in April, 2005 as part of confidence building measures(CBM) between India and Pakistan to allow the divided families living on either side of Line of Control to meet each other.
